How it works
Photograph a document and we read the date off it. The list keeps every date you carry. The reminders arrive while you can still do something. This page is the whole product, in that order.
Photograph it. We read the date. The image is already gone.
Most tracking apps keep a copy of your document forever. ValidThru only ever needed the date, so that is all it keeps. Nothing you upload is stored — every account gets five free scans to see it work.
Photograph it
Point your camera at the document. Framing guides show what we need — usually just the corner where the date lives.
Confirm the date
We show the three fields we read — document type, issuer, expiration date — with our confidence in each. Nothing saves until you confirm it.
The image is already gone
The photo is read in memory while the request runs and discarded when it returns. It is never written to a database, a file store, a cache, or a log, and everything else on the document goes with it.
One screen for everything you carry
Expirations and maintenance share a single dashboard, ordered by how soon each one needs you — so a passport that matters in 2031 and a filter that matters on Thursday can sit together without shouting over each other.

A label and a date make a complete item
No scanner required, no forms worth dreading. Most items take about fifteen seconds to add, and everything past the name and the date is optional.
A passport takes weeks to renew. The reminder should arrive before the panic does.
Add an item
Type a label and an expiration date — “Driver’s license, October 4th, 2026” is a complete item. Category presets fill in sensible defaults.
Get reminded in time to act
Reminders arrive by email about 30 days before the date, and you can set your own lead time on any item — months for a passport, days for a filter.
Renew and move on
When you renew, update the date and the item goes back to current. The dashboard orders everything by how soon it needs you, so the top of the list is always the next thing to do.
Reminders that arrive while you can still do something
Reminders come by email — about 30 days ahead by default, and on your own lead time for any item that needs a different one.
Half of what you track does not expire at all. It comes due again.
An HVAC filter every 90 days. An oil change every six months. Smoke detector batteries twice a year, heartworm prevention every month. Mark one done and ValidThru schedules the next date — nothing to re-enter, nothing to remember.
Expirations and maintenance share one dashboard, so a passport that matters in 2031 and a filter that matters on Thursday can sit on the same screen without shouting over each other.
Mark it done and the next date schedules itself.
